WOMADelaide

Takumi sat on his own for the first time at WOMAD! Francesco is working on it, though he can roll around like a maniac.

My first festival as a mum. WOW was it a different experience!!! My dear friend Kate and her beautiful Takumi as well as the lovely Lauren from Uni made the day all the more wonderful. This festival is called WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance) and it tours all over the world. Absolutely fantastic. Damian and I went last year for the first time, that was also an experience as I was newly pregnant and could not enjoy the wonderful Australian wine or beer on a day well over 100 degrees. Thankfully we had beautiful weather this year that our babies could enjoy. Neil Finn was definitely the highlight! I love my boy but next year Kate and I decided toddlers stay home and mummas enjoy a day out, YEAH!!!

The beautiful Kate

Usually Francesco is the one sucking on other babies...teaching Takumi bad habits

He didn't make it for the last show, but let his mumma enjoy it

Go back again to previous posting 'For my Family'

I love doing things out of order...it keeps things chaotic!

Only Francesco can get us out of the house this early on a Saturday...

With all the very hot weather we had recently, well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, we had to take advantage of the 'cool' times of the day to get a walk or a swim in. As we did this morning at 6 am on a Saturday! Francesco is loving the salty warm sea water!!!

Nobody else up this early!

For My Family

My father passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I wanted to share with my family where I spread his ashes. As my sister recently visited Oz, I took her to our chosen spot. This place is called Innes National Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. It is a favourite of mine and Damian's and now Francesco has had his first experience along with my beautiful sister. This blog is a tribute to my dad and my loving family in Wisconsin and Illinois whom I miss more than I can ever express.

Go back if you so desire

As you can see I've recently changed my blog's outfit inspired by my sister's shiny new blog. And I'm in the process of going back and changing the printed words for many, as with my new color, which I couldn't give up, thye are not legible. ANYWAY, I realised I had 2 unpublished entries from last December! So now they are there if you want to have a look at a few photos of our Great Ocean Road trip. I did mean to make a whole series from that trip as it is one of the most stunning parts of Oz...maybe one day. Now I move forward. xo

Days at the beach...before the heat wave of consistent days well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Before our heat wave that we are currently 'enjoying' we were at the beach daily. We have had consistent weather over 40 degrees (104 F) since Tuesday and we are taking advantage of the 'cool' mornings, more like bearable mornings.
