For My Family

My father passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I wanted to share with my family where I spread his ashes. As my sister recently visited Oz, I took her to our chosen spot. This place is called Innes National Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. It is a favourite of mine and Damian's and now Francesco has had his first experience along with my beautiful sister. This blog is a tribute to my dad and my loving family in Wisconsin and Illinois whom I miss more than I can ever express.

Go back if you so desire

As you can see I've recently changed my blog's outfit inspired by my sister's shiny new blog. And I'm in the process of going back and changing the printed words for many, as with my new color, which I couldn't give up, thye are not legible. ANYWAY, I realised I had 2 unpublished entries from last December! So now they are there if you want to have a look at a few photos of our Great Ocean Road trip. I did mean to make a whole series from that trip as it is one of the most stunning parts of Oz...maybe one day. Now I move forward. xo

Days at the beach...before the heat wave of consistent days well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Before our heat wave that we are currently 'enjoying' we were at the beach daily. We have had consistent weather over 40 degrees (104 F) since Tuesday and we are taking advantage of the 'cool' mornings, more like bearable mornings.

A Weekend Away

Recently we rented a house with friends just outside Adelaide in Willunga Hill. We were surrounded by forest.. a little crazy at this time of year considering the frequency of bush fires in summer, but we left the day before the heat wave began. It was very relaxing and we even saw a kangaroo in our backyard!

Road to 'our' house

A beautiful porch that had swings identically to our childhood Renaissance Fair swings (Mom and Jocie will know what I mean). Though I did not get a picture of the swings from afar. In the spirit of our winding up the swing and letting go to spin into dizziness, I had a go. I even unscrewed it with too much spinning and it fell...with me in it...memories ;o). Only I was in the swing, Francesco was sleeping for this ride.

Front porch
Living in a city in a small apartment, things such as porches and being surrounded by trees and butterflies, are novelties!

A rare moment with no baby in our arms, out to dinner and eating together! Francesco was still with us, just being held by mates. I am still getting used to the idea of leaving him with someone else, though Nonna took great care of him yesterday while I was at the dentist ;o).

Wayne (the other pregnant one), Ben (the Australian baby whisperer, sorry Joc) and Papa

Wayne, Craig, Ben, Ros and Damian
Dinner time, both babies in bed...pretty good timing Francesco and Joe!

Rossy and Francesco.
Ros due with their second bub in April. Craig and Roz have generously lent many baby things to us and their new bub will arrive just as Francesco is finished using them, lucky us!

Craig and Ben

The kangaroo!!!

A close-up photo taken for my lovely sobrinos, Caleb, Elijah and Micaiah. It just stood there and stared at us for a couple of minutes, what a great spotting Ros.

Beautiful smiley Joesph and the leaning tower of Francesco

Francesco and I on the imfamous swing... I was careful with our precious cargo...no spinning!
As you can see, he worries a lot

One last swing before we go back to the city

Yoga mums and bubs

Francesco and Takumi hanging out at Takumi's place

Kate, Takumi, Ava and Victoria...learning to copy by sticking out their tongues

Oz Family Christmas

Small, but lovely, is my Australian family. Here we are out for dinner on Mark's birthday on the 29th of December at our favorite Greek restaurant, Estia.

Enjoying my ONE glass of wine...YIPEE!

Mum and her mumma's boy
Although, all Damian's siblings are mumma's babies, the Creazzo's tell me I will be the same with my babies!

Marky and Marisa, when these two get together they are like 2 little kids with much silliness

Papa sharing the feeding pleasure

As you can see in the background that cleaning is not our first priority...not that it has ever been in my house ;o)

Our little peanut

Christmas day..it was cold!
low 70's (23 Celsius)

Nonna and the often crooked-mouth Frankie (he takes after his mum)
